Brain Flower is the original College of DuPage illustration magazine published by the AIGA Student Group. It is made to inspire. From digital to hand drawn, the work by out students is intended to get others thinking about art and tap into their own creativity.
Selected works are featured in the annual Brain Flower Zine and showcased in the Wings Student Gallery during the month of April 2017. This is an opportunity for your work to be viewed by professionals in the field.
Be on the lookout during the fall semester for when we will start accepting submissions.
It all started with a funky-looking icon created by Graphic Design student Meghan Thome for a class assignment—a brain surrounded by nineteen imperfect petals. The icon seemed to be the perfect logo for a project that promotes creative and original student work.
Soon enough, Brain Flower was born. AIGA Student Group, under the guidance of the Graphic Design department’s Program Coordinator, John Callegari, began to put together the pieces on how this zine could be successfully published. A submission form, posters, and other promotional materials were created to plug this exciting project to the student body.
